Our life's purpose- "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down ad when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Being Blessed And Able To Take Care Of My Family

I feel blessed to be able to take care of my family at times that are needed. Kenny woke up a little after 2 this morning sick and I was up with him off and on looking up things on the internet to see what it could be and making sure he had been drinking fluids and making sure he was getting rest. Then a few hours later, around 5, Kamryn woke up sick as well. I felt a little touch of this around 6, but it went away shortly. Now I have got loads of laundry going, I am on my second cup of coffee and doing a little Bible reading since we are missing church. We are not sure what they have, but we will get it figured out. I had a few hours this morning to thank God for the life he has blessed me with and the wonderful opportunity of taking care of those I love so much. Looks like I am going to have some good time with Johnston today!! There is a postive side of everything!

Life with an enertaining three year old...

Wanted to share a funny story about Kamryn. She has become quite the chatter box and you never know what is going to come out of her mouth. She has a tendency of spoutting off random things or saying what she is thinking.

Today, she came to Kenny and I while we were talking and informed us (very seriously) that boys stand to potty and girls sit. All we did was laugh. She was tellling us in a way as if she thgought we had no idea of that. It made me realize how blessed we are to have such a sweet little one to take care of and raise and mold into a woman of God.

The Love Dare--Kenny & Stephanie's 40 Day Adventure

As we get busy with Spring approaching us, I purchased "The Love Dare" for Kenny and I to do together. With raising two toddlers, life gets stressful, exausting and honestly sometimes annoying. We all know that when we get stressed or upset, we take it out on those who are closest to us. We are going to start our 1ST fourty day journey tonight before bed. It has fourty days of difficult, challenging yet fullfilling devotions to do together as a couple. We watched the movie Fireproof together last year, but like I stated earlier, with the stress (and joys) of raising two toddlers--marriage can always use the practice of unconditional love. I will keep everyone posted on how it goes.

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, love always perseveres. Love never fails.

Kamryn's 3rd Birthday Tea Party

For Kamryn's 3rd birthday we took her to American Girl to get a Bitty Baby. We went through three different types of babies before she picked out the one we purchased. We also got them matching outfits, but Kamryn's doesn't fit yet.

As a family, we decorate our (formal) artificial tree and our live tree together and the kids love it. Kamryn had a blast hanging ornaments while Johnston enjoyed getting into everything and taking things apart.

Every year, since I was little, we have gone to Walls Tree Farm out towards Terrell to cut down a live Christmas tree. Kenny has been with my family every year since we have been together and we have continued to go taking our kids. It has turned into a wonderful tradition that our kids can do with their grandparents.

Turkey Day at Aunt Beverly's

On Thanksgiving we go out to Wills Point for lunch to Kenny's Aunt Beverly's house. After lunch, this year the kids got to ride a horse. Kamryn has been talking about Aunt Beverly's horses non-stop.
