Our life's purpose- "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down ad when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates." Deuteronomy 6:4-9

While I was pregnant with Kamryn, Kenny and I were waiting at the doctors office for a sono appointment, while flipping through a magazine I had propped on my whale sized tummy, I came a cross a picture of a green painted pumpkin with orange polka dots and thought that would be a wonderful craft to do with my baby to be. I had tons of ideas on my notepad in my purse, and of course jotted it down so I would remember. Since Kamryn was 10 months, we have painted pumpkins as one of our 'Halloween' crafts. This year was quite an intersting experience with Johnston painting a pumpkin, or should we say eating the paint. The kids had a blast doing it and it was nice to have Kenny do it with us this year. I have done it with Kamryn every year by myself beacuse Kenny was in school working on completing his MBA. Now that he is done, the kids love having him at home more, and Mommy does too! Kenny helped Kamryn with her pumpkin, and I tried my hardest to help Johnston. Kamryn had a blast painting and stamping while stating each color and telling Kenny how much fun she was having. Johnston on the other hand had fun trying to eat the paint that was on the paint brush while I kept chasing him around the mat and saying, "yuck", "shoo", "no, Johnston, please don't put it in your mouth", etc. We pretty much ended up with a beautiful and colorful pumpkin Kamryn painted and another pumpkin Johnston did two or three beautiful strokes on and Mommy tried to finish it up. They both ended up with a paint on them, but the art project was well worth it.
